  • Creates award-winning copy for clients in travel, entertainment, consumer goods and the service sector.

  • Crafts messaging for major brands like Disney, Mattel, Target, Verizon, PepsiCo, Avery and Fox while helping to put smaller brands on the map.

  • Seamlessly segues between web writing, on-air promos, sales presentations, social media, print and banner ads, newsletters, technical writing,
    naming, special projects, write cetera.
  • Has written for Jerry Seinfeld, Neil Patrick Harris, Jane Lynch, Tina Fey, Betty White, Tim Allen, Rachael Ray, Tom Selleck and Barbie.
  • Creates custom mailers that knock socks off. Can your spam-filtered email say that?
  • Writes humor columns for The LA Times, LA2Day.com and more. Don't be content with generic content.  Tell your story with writing your customers will actually read and remember.  Yes, I do have a blog. Thanks for asking.
  • ...And can team with top designers, video producers, brand specialists and more to offer complete creative services.

Occasionally asked questions

Why hire me?
Because I'm one of the sharpest pencils in the cup – quickly understanding your business and your marketplace.  Because I deliver experience, smarts and creative zing... and always a ton of out-of-the park solutions, a few of which are, admittedly, out of left field.

Can you send me your resume?
Even better, I can link it.

What's the one piece of advice you'd give to aspiring copywriters?
Take a poetry class.  Poetry, like great copy, conveys meaning with an economy of words.  Also, poetic devices like rhyme, alliteration and meter are not accidents. Before there was writing, people had to remember verse. And... Melodic messaging is much more memorable.

What are three cool things we should know about you?
I scored a goal in a hockey game at Staples Center.  I've earned money for doing stand-up comedy and astrophysics research.  I'm a three-day Jeopardy! champion.

What did you mess up on?
Before Mecca, Mohammed and his followers turned toward this city to pray... (Go ahead, google it. Or better, call me.)

What's that thing on the back of your arm?
It's a birthmark.
